Annual Plans 2026–2027: Review Report

1. Grand Total Allocation by Major Category A total of ₹19,35,87,167 (approx. ₹19.36 crore) has been set aside for development projects in the Grama Panchayat. The sector-wise breakdown is as follows:

  • General Sector: ₹16,16,62,815 (approx. ₹16.16 crore)
  • Scheduled Caste Plan (SCP) Sector: ₹1,66,95,952 (approx. ₹1.67 crore)
  • Tribal Sub-Plan (TSP) Sector: ₹2,28,400

2. Key Development Sectors and Projects

A) Housing & LIFE Mission

  • LIFE Housing (General): ₹4,00,00,000 (₹4 crore) has been allocated for housing construction under the general category, combining development funds, loan funds, and other funding sources.
  • LIFE Housing (SCP): ₹80,00,000 has been set aside for housing construction for the Scheduled Caste category.
  • Making Homes Habitable & Rehabilitation: Significant funds across General and SCP sectors have been allocated for house repairs and habitat improvement.

B) Agriculture, Animal Husbandry & Self-Employment

  • Agricultural Development: ₹18,00,000 has been set aside for paddy cultivation development.
  • Animal Husbandry: Allocations have been made in both General and SCP sectors for the distribution of poultry, buffalo calves, and milch cows.
  • Self-Employment / Women’s Welfare: Funds have been earmarked to help women set up employment and self-employment enterprises.
  • Veterinary Hospital: Funds have been allocated for the modernization of the veterinary dispensary and the purchase of medicines.

C) Health, Hygiene & Sanitation

  • Health Centers: Includes medicine purchases for the Pazhambalacode Community Health Centre (CHC) (₹8,00,000), various diagnostic equipment, wellness activities, and the renovation of Ayurveda/Homeo dispensaries.
  • Pain & Palliative Care: Over ₹11,25,000 has been set aside for palliative care (including Ayurveda).
  • Waste Management & Haritha Karma Sena: Includes user fee subsidy contributions for Haritha Karma Sena, cleaning equipment (weighing machines, dust removers, sorting tables), and liquid waste management systems (soak pits/leech pits) in Anganwadis and hospitals.
  • ABC Program: ₹4,00,00,000 has been allocated for stray dog sterilization and anti-rabies vaccination.

D) Infrastructure & Drinking Water

  • Road Development: Major amounts have been allocated for the re-tarring, re-concreting, and renovation of rural roads.
  • Drinking Water Projects: Includes the completion of drinking water projects at Kadungode, Vattakkallingal, Anchadi, Chapra, and Pallikolani, as well as the renovation of public wells.
  • Streetlights: Funds have been earmarked for the annual maintenance of streetlights and the installation of new LED streetlights.

E) Education, Sports & Public Amenities

  • Educational Support: Includes laptop distribution, scholarships, study materials, and the construction of study rooms for students in SCP and General categories.
  • Parks & Gymnasium: Projects include a Happiness Park, children's park, playground construction, and establishing a women’s gymnasium near the Kandukad Reading Room.
  • Anganwadis: Funds have been allocated for renovating Anganwadi buildings and purchasing furniture and play equipment.

Summary The project proposals for the year 2026–27 have been planned with a primary focus on LIFE housing construction, rural road renovation, drinking water availability, public health, sanitation and waste management, and social welfare (SCP/TSP).
